District Governor Hyacinth Jeremiah comes to Westmoreland
Zone 1A hosts its first District Governor's Advisory Meeting of the year on Sunday 9 August in Savanna-la-Mar.
Zone 1A holds its first District Governor's Advisory Meeting of the 2026-27 Lions year on Sunday 9 August at 12 noon, at the Y's Menettes Community Resource Centre (The Source), Lot 224 Barracks Road, Savanna-la-Mar — under the theme Service: Our Blessing. Our Legacy. Our Future.
The meeting welcomes District Governor Lion Hyacinth Jeremiah, MJF, of Grenada. DG Jeremiah assumed office on 6 July 2026 as only the third Grenadian to lead District 60B — and this year, for the first time in the district's history, two Grenadians lead the district's Lions and Leos together, with Leo Raheem Smith serving as Leo District President. A past president of the Lions Club of St George's, DG Jeremiah was named her zone's Most Outstanding Club President during her club years.
District 60B serves the English- and Dutch-speaking Caribbean — thirteen countries from the Cayman Islands in the north to Grenada in the south. The meeting is convened by Zone 1A Chairperson Lion Vanessa Hylton.
